Unlike other positions on a hockey team, being a goalie and "keeping the puck out" is as much about the mental game as it is about being skilled at the job. As young goalies we had older goalies that helped us along the way. We had someone who helped us work through the low of having a bad game, the high of a big win and everything in-between. However, not all goalies are so fortunate. Many young goaltenders are on their own when it comes to dealing with the mentally taxing aspects of the game, on and off the ice. The two of us, Daniel Rosenstock and Matthew Pistner, founded Goalies4Goalies to provide young goalies with much needed mentors to help them navigate the toughest position in sports. Goalies4Goalies provides a way for older goaltenders to give back to the youngsters much like older goalies helped us in our younger days. Goalies 4 Goalies. Support. Uplift. Connect.

Goalies4Goalies matches older goalies with younger goalies who are working to get to the next level. Once you submit the application form and are accepted you will be matched with either a mentor, a mentee, or both. You will recieve an email from us introducing you to your new "goalie partner". Next, Goalies will join a zoom meeting with their mentor at a time agreed upon by both mentor and mentee within a week of matching. The goalies will initially share an intro meeting where they get to know each other. The mentor will share experiences from their hockey career and the "goalie partners" will share interests and hobbies with each other. After this, you will set up a weekly time to meet with your "goalie partner" and discuss how games, practices, etc. have been going. The mentor will share their wisdom with the mentee through sharing their own expieriences. Once you are a part of our program you will be notified about, and invited to special events where you will learn new skills and hear from experts on different topics! The best part?
